(A) All private fire hydrants shall be installed and maintained as set forth in the latest edition of NFPA Standard No. 24. In the determination of location and spacing of hydrants the IFC (675 I.A.C. 22) appendix III-B shall be used as a guide. The proposed location of private fire hydrants to supply the required fire flow (IFC (675 I.A.C. 22)) shall be submitted to the Fire Department for review.
(B) Whenever the provisions of this section require the installation of a fire hydrant whether on public or private property, such hydrant shall meet the standards established by the City Utilities Water Maintenance Department to insure compatibility.
