Upon those streets and parts of streets and in those alleys, designated as authorized in section 10.1.309 of this chapter and described in traffic-control schedules as provided in section 10.1.312 of this chapter, a vehicle shall be driven only in the indicated direction when official signs indicating the direction of traffic are erected and maintained at every intersection where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited.
