5-1-6: STOLEN, ABANDONED, OR LOST PROPERTY 1 :
The chief of police shall have care and control of all lost, abandoned or stolen property recovered in the city. If the stolen, abandoned or lost property is not claimed after six (6) months from the date said property was recorded as received, the city may hold a public auction of said property as prescribed by drafting an ordinance to do so. (Ord. 0-15-001, 3-24-2015)
