§ 31.47 GENERAL ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
   The Code Compliance Officer or an appropriate designee selected by the Town Administrator shall have the authority and powers necessary to gain compliance, including:
   (A)   Enforcement of the Town Code, zoning ordinance, subdivision regulations, design standards manual and related codes adopted and enforced by the Town;
   (B)   Conduct field inspections of buildings, structures and land, including the taking of photographs, samples and other physical evidence to determine compliance with the provisions of the Town Code;
   (C)   Issuance of notices of violation;
   (D)   Issuance of citations to appear in Town Court and to initiate other legal action upon authorization of the Town Administrator as may be necessary to gain compliance;
   (E)   Undertake whatever judicial and administrative remedies are available under the Town Code to gain compliance;
   (F)   Maintain current record of the Town Code and subsequent amendments;
   (G)   Maintain records of all code violations and investigations performed;
   (H)   Maintain records of all permits issued under the authority of the Code Compliance Officer;
   (I)   Provide information to the public on all matters relating to the Town Code;
   (J)   Initiate, direct and review, from time to time, a study of the provisions of the Town Code and make reports of recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
