(A) It shall be the duty of the owners and occupants of every house in the city to have placed thereon, in a place readily visible from the street, figures at least three inches high, showing the number of the house.
(B) In lieu of placing such figures on the house, such number may be displayed on a mail box, pole or other prominent object placed on the property to be identified readily visible from the street.
