§ 33.42 GRANT REQUIREMENTS.
   Nothing in these regulations shall be construed in such a manner as to relieve the city of the responsibility to comply with any procurement requirements imposed by any agency from which the city may receive funds, including but not limited to state and federal agencies.

§ 33.43 EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.
   The city shall include as part of any invitation for bids or request for proposals for supplies, equipment or services, Equal Employment Opportunity language as may be required by local ordinance, KRS 45.570 through 45.640 and the procurement requirements of any agency from which the city may receive funds.

EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS
§ 33.50 APPLICABLE STATE LAW AND/OR CITY ORDINANCE.
   This subchapter shall in no way alter or amend state law and/or city ordinance as they pertain to the awarding of contracts. Specifically, contracts in excess of $20,000 and professional services contracts.

§ 33.51 CONTRACTS AUTHORIZED BY PASSAGE OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET.
   (A)   As part of the budget approval process, the Mayor shall submit to Council, along with the annual budget presentation, a listing of all contracts known by the Mayor which are set to expire during the presented budget year.
   (B)   Upon approval of the budget by Council, the Mayor is authorized to negotiate and enter into all contracts for which funds have been budgeted for in the approved Council budget, so long as the value of the contract does not increase or decrease said line item by 10%. The annual budget shall also reference this subchapter establishing the authority of the Mayor to execute all contracts for which funds have been set forth. Any contract signed pursuant to this subsection shall be presented to Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
   (C)   In order to accomplish and ensure the daily operations of the city are satisfied, the Mayor is authorized to enter into any contract that does not exceed $5,000 in value and the contract duration does not exceed 12 months. Any contract signed pursuant to this subsection shall be presented to Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
   (D)   During the last four months of the Mayor's term, divisions (A) and (B) of this section shall not apply.

§ 33.52 EXPIRATION DATE.
   This chapter shall expire on December 31, 2006, unless extended by further action of the city.
