(A) It shall be unlawful to discharge any firearm or other dangerous weapon within the city limits, including rifles, pistols, shotguns, C02 gun, air gun, BB gun, pellet gun, or slingshot.
(B) This shall not apply to the following circumstances:
(1) In necessary self defense of person or property;
(2) A law enforcement officer in necessary performance of his or her duty;
(3) For the purpose of target shooting or practice on a range operated and supervised by a qualified police officer; or
(4) Any military exercise or parade.
