Upon action by the Township Clerk, recommendation from a Township department head or a complaint being received, the Township Clerk may suspend or revoke an issued license for any of the same reasons as provided for denying a license. Notice of intent to suspend or revoke shall be furnished to the licensee(s). The licensee(s) shall be permitted to appear with or without representation at a date not more than 14 days thereafter, unless extended by the need for information from the applicant, to show cause why their license should not be suspended or revoked. In the case of an emergency where harm to the public at large may occur prior thereto, such suspension or revocation may be made prior to such hearing in the discretion of the Township Clerk. Upon such hearing, the Township Clerk shall make a final decision within ten days, and may revoke or suspend the license. A written determination, setting forth the reasons for revocation or suspension, shall be provided.
