A. Failure To Appear Unlawful: It shall be unlawful for any person to violate his written promise to appear in municipal court given to an officer upon the issuance of a notice to appear, regardless of the disposition of the charge for which such notice to appear was originally issued. It is unlawful for any person to fail to appear in court in response to a summons served upon him.
B. Appearance By Counsel: A summons or written promise to appear in municipal court may be complied with by an appearance by counsel. (1991 Code § 12-13)
