3-2-12: CIRCUSES:
   (A)   License Required: No person shall conduct or operate a circus in the city without having first obtained a license as is provided in this chapter. (1968 Code, sec. 35-101)
   (B)   Application: The applications for such licenses shall be made to the city clerk and shall specify the place in or on which the circus is to be conducted. (1968 Code, sec. 35-102)
   (C)   Fees:
      1.   Circus: The license fee shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) per day for each license. (1968 Code, sec. 36-103; amd. 1983 Code)
      2.   Sideshows And Concessions: The license fee for such sideshows and concessions operated in connection with a circus shall be five dollars ($5.00) per day. (1968 Code, sec. 35-104)
   (D)   Provisions Obeyed: It shall be the duty of every person licensed under this section to obey the provisions of this chapter and all other city ordinances relating to circuses or the premises occupied thereby. (1968 Code, sec. 35-105)
   (E)   Inspection: It shall be the duty of the chief of police and the fire chief to see that inspections, as provided for in this chapter, shall be made of all circuses, circus performances and of the premises used. (1968 Code, sec. 35-106; amd. 1983 Code)
   (F)   Parades, Bond: It shall be unlawful to conduct any parade connected with a circus in or on any public street, alley or other public way or place in the city, unless a permit therefor is first obtained from the Chief of Police. Such permit shall specify the route to be followed, and shall be accompanied by a bond in the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), conditioned to indemnify the City for any loss, damage or liability incurred or caused by the conduct of such parade.
