§ 114.04 VEHICLE FOR HIRE BUSINESS PERMIT FEES.
   (A)   Permit fees. No permit shall be issued or renewed unless the owner or operator of the taxicab or vehicle for hire has paid an annual permit fee of $60 dollars for each vehicle operated pursuant to the permit. This fee shall be in addition to any other fees or charges established by proper authority and applicable to said owner or operator of the vehicle, or vehicles under his/her operation or control. All permit application and renewal fees shall be made payable to the Finance Department, and the applicant shall make said payments directly to the Finance Department
   (B)   Additional fee for non-driver owners. For owners applying for a vehicle for hire business permit who are not also vehicle for hire operators, an additional $15 non-refundable fee shall be required. This fee shall be used by the city to conduct the necessary background check of the applicant in advance of the city making an approval decision. Where the owner applying for the vehicle for hire business permit is also a vehicle for hire driver's license applicant, no additional fee shall be required, as this cost is included in the vehicle for hire driver's license application fee.
   (C)   Acquisition of new vehicles for hire or sale of existing permitted vehicles for hire by the owner or operator of a permit shall be reported in writing to the Clerk within seven days of the acquisition or sale, so the current permit may be transferred, a new or revised permit issued, or existing permit cancelled as is deemed appropriate.
