(A) The Director of Public Works shall install stop signs at the locations indicated in Chapter 72, Schedule II.
(B) When stop signs are erected as provided in this section at or near the entrance to any intersection, every driver of a vehicle shall stop the vehicle at the sign before entering the intersection, except when directed to proceed by a law enforcement officer.
(C) After the driver of the vehicle has stopped in obedience to a stop sign at an intersection, he shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles which are within the intersection or which are approaching so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard.
