§ 95.11 PERMISSIBLE BURNING, GENERALLY.
   (A)   While recognizing that open burning contributes to air pollution, the Village Council is aware that certain types of open burning may reasonably be allowed in the public interest; therefore, the following types of open burning are permissible as specified, if burning is not prohibited by ordinances and regulations of governmental entities having jurisdiction.
   (B)   (1)   Open burning is allowed in Clemmons as outlined under the regulatory allowances and restrictions as in the Forsyth County Air Quality Control Ordinance and Technical Code, § 1900.
      (2)   Open burning of leaves, tree branches, or yard trimmings originating on the premises of private residences is prohibited.
   (C)   Any persons wishing to engage in the types of burning allowed by this section and the Forsyth County Air Quality Control Ordinance and Technical Code must first secure permission by obtaining a burning permit from the Forsyth County Environmental Affairs Department.
   (D)   Permission granted under this section will be subject to continued review and may be withdrawn at any time.
