§ 117.04 PAYMENT OF AD VALOREM TAX ON TAXICABS.
   Before any permit or renewal of a permit to operate a taxicab in the city shall be issued, the City Secretary shall examine the tax records and ascertain whether or not ad valorem taxes assessed by the city against the vehicle and other equipment to be used in the business of the applicant have been fully paid. If the ad valorem taxes have not been paid, the City Secretary shall refuse to issue the applicant such permit or renewal until all of the ad valorem taxes have been paid and all other provisions of this subchapter have been complied with by applicant, and the City Secretary shall issue to the applicant a permit or renewal thereof for each and every vehicle to which he may be entitled.
