For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
FIRE PROTECTION BUSINESS. The business of:
(1) Buying, selling, servicing, repairing, or maintaining portable fire extinguishers.
(2) Selling, installation, repair or maintenance of fire alarm and fire detection equipment.
(3) Selling or performing flameproofing service.
(4) Installation, repair or maintaining of special fixed extinguishing systems, including foam, carbon dioxide, or dry chemical.
(5) Local retail stores who are engaged in the selling of fire extinguishers approved by the City and State Fire Marshal and who do not repair, maintain or service said extinguishers are excluded from compliance of this chapter.
