(A) No person who operates a private funeral escort vehicle shall, by virtue of any funeral escort permit issued pursuant to this chapter or any other law or ordinance, be deemed to be an officer, agent, employee, or representative of the city. Nor shall any funeral escort permit be construed to confer upon the holder of the funeral escort permit any privilege or immunity not expressly granted by this chapter.
(B) Nothing in subsection (A) shall be deemed to waive any immunities of a law enforcement official engaged in official duties by operating a law enforcement funeral escort vehicle.
