§ 103.011 INSURANCE AND INDEMNIFICATION.
   Before receiving a funeral escort permit, an operator of a private funeral escort vehicle must provide:
   (A)   Proof of a current, valid, noncancellable liability and property insurance policy insuring against any damage or loss resulting from the operation of any private funeral escort vehicle in a funeral cortege. Such insurance shall:
      (1)   Have policy limits of at least $500,000 for injuries resulting from any one accident, and at least $100,000 for damage to property resulting from any one accident;
      (2)   Be for the protection of property, passengers riding in a funeral cortege, the general public, and the city, its servants, agents, and employees;
      (3)   Be valid for the entire duration of the permit and contain a provision for continuing liability thereon up to the full amount, notwithstanding any recovery; and
      (4)   Name the city as an additional insured.
   (B)   An indemnification agreement on a form provided by the city that indemnifies, holds harmless, and defends the city against any losses or claims arising out of the operation of a private funeral escort vehicle.
