(A) No funeral escort permit is required for the operator of a city law enforcement funeral escort vehicle.
(B) No funeral escort permit is required for the operator of an other law enforcement funeral escort vehicle, but the Chief must be notified at least 24 hours before the funeral cortege proceeds through the city that the other law enforcement funeral escort vehicle will be guiding the funeral cortege.
(C) Any person operating a private funeral escort vehicle must have a valid funeral escort permit issued by the city, provided, however, that persons engaged in such business who are employed by a duly permitted private funeral escort agency shall not be required to hold individual permits.
