The fee schedule set forth and approved by the City Council is as follows:
(A) Impoundment fee (pickup), dog or cat.
(1) First offense.
(a) Altered $25
(b) Unaltered $100
(2) Second offense.
(a) Altered $50
(b) Unaltered $200
(3) Third and subsequent offenses.
(a) Altered $75
(b) Unaltered $300
(4) Any impoundment fee may be reduced if the owner agrees to have the animal rabies vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered by the Animal Services Division and the owner pays the fees related to that service.
(5) Impound fee - Livestock (running at large) - $100
(B) Daily maintenance fees (excludes first day of impound)
(1) Dogs and cats - $10 per day per animal
(2) Livestock - $25 per day per animal
(C) Adoption fee - $75 (established by Animal Services Division based in part based on vaccination, sterilization, and microchip costs).
(D) Owner surrender fee - $25
(E) Rabies quarantine fees:
(1) Quarantine impound fee - $100
(a) Fee may be reduced if owner allows the animal to be spayed or neutered at current spay/neuter fee, once quarantine is complete.
(2) Quarantine daily fee (excludes first day of quarantine) - $10 per day
(3) Animals surrendered in lieu of quarantine - $50
(F) Animal establishment permit fee - $100
(G) Microchip fitting and registration - $15
(H) Multi-pet application fee - $5 per pet over the pet limit
(I) Dangerous animal - annual registration - $100 ($50 mandatory fee pursuant to Tex. Health and Safety Code § 822.043 and $50 administration fee)
(J) Trap rental deposit (refundable) - $75 per trap
(K) The Animal Services Manager may authorize the waiver or reduction of fees for special events, activities, and certain circumstances in which the intended result is to reduce the number of animals being housed by the Animal Services Division.
