§ 99.26 CONTRACTOR'S BOND.
   The contractor desiring to construct any of the improvements covered by this subchapter shall execute a bond in the sum of $2,000, which bond shall be a surety company bond made payable to the Mayor and his successor in office, to be approved by the Mayor and filed with the City Secretary, conditioned that the principal in the bond shall faithfully comply with all the requirements of the ordinances of the city regulating the building of sidewalks, curb and gutter, steps, or driveways and will repair, free of cost, any sidewalk, curbing, gutter, steps or driveways built by such person that may become defective, within one year from the date of completion, due to defective workmanship or materials. Contractor shall repair all damages to public infrastructure including streets, traffic signal loops, storm drainage, water and sewer lines, etc. that may be damaged during construction of improvements covered by this subchapter and will within one year from date of repair, repair free of charge areas that may become defective due to materials or workmanship.
