§ 93.09 WORK PERIODS ESTABLISHED.
   (A)   The work period for employees scheduled to work 2,080 hours annually shall be a seven consecutive day, 40 hour work period. All non-exempt employees assigned to a seven day work period shall be compensated at a rate of one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 within the work period.
   (B)   The work period for employees in fire protection activities and scheduled to work 2,920 hours annually shall be a 14 consecutive day, 106 hour work period. All non-exempt employees engaged in fire protection activities and assigned to a 14 day work period shall be compensated at a rate of one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of 106 within the work period.
   (C)   The beginning and ending of the seven day work period and the 14 day work period will be established by city policy and may be changed, provided the change is intended to be permanent and not designed to evade overtime compensation. The Fire Chief, at his discretion, may assign an employee to the seven day work period or the 14 day work period.
