For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CEMETERY. A cemetery within the city limits and under the jurisdiction of the city.
CITY. The City of Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas.
COLUMBARIUM. A room, building, or wall typically located wholly above-ground with places for entombment of the ashes of deceased human beings who have been cremated. Not for commercial use.
DISINTERMENT. The unearthing of the remains of a deceased human being.
FAMILY LOT. A burial section, located below ground, with a single large headstone engraved with the family name marking the area, and then each individual family member who is interred there may have their own small headstone marking the individual grave; abiding by § 92.25.
INTERMENT. The entombment or burial of the remains of a deceased human being.
MAUSOLEUM. A burial vault or tomb typically located either partially or wholly above-ground with places for entombment or burial of the remains of deceased human beings.
MEMORIAL. Any marker, monument, headstone, footstone or other structure upon on any lot, niche or place thereupon or partially therein for identification or in memory of the interred.
OWNER. The owner of record of a space or lot or the designated representative or successor in interest.
SPACE. The area normally designated for a single or double-stacked interment.
