§ 51.003 WATER CONSERVATION AND DROUGHT CONTINGENCY.
   (A)   Adoption by reference. The 2024 Drought Contingency and Emergency Water Management Plan and the 2024 Water Conservation Plan is adopted and made part of this chapter to the same extent as copied at length herein as part of the city water conservation effort planning.
   (B)   Requirements. There is adopted for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the conservation of water and management of water resources during time of drought, a Cleburne Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan, a copy of which has been and is now filed with the City Secretary’s Office and the same is duly adopted and incorporated by reference which under Tex. Admin. Code, Title 30, Chapter 288, the Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan is required to be updated every five years. Requirements for conservation measures, identification of levels of drought conditions and drought contingency measures have been established. The City Manager is the designated official responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the Cleburne Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan.
   (C)   Penalty for violation. Any person or persons, firm or corporation who violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be fined not less than $5 nor more than $2,000 for each offense and each violation thereof shall be deemed a separate offense and each day’s continuance or failure to comply herewith shall constitute a separate and distinct offense for each of such days and shall be punishable as such. All prior ordinances in conflict with or inconsistent with those herein stated are hereby repealed.
