Every permit issued under this chapter shall expire one year following the date of issuance, and shall be renewable only in the manner in which the original permit was secured. Further, said permit shall become void upon termination of employment with the franchisee. Upon termination of any driver from the employment of the franchisee, the franchisee shall within seven days inform the Chief of Police that said driver is no longer employed with the franchisee. The driving permit shall be surrendered to the Chief of Police by the driver within seven days from the date of termination from employment with the franchisee.
