Each original application for a permit to drive a taxicab or vehicle for hire shall be accompanied by an application fee as set forth in the town's Comprehensive List of Fees and Charges, to be paid to the town; provided that an application for renewal of such permit shall require a fee as set forth in the town's Comprehensive List of Fees and Charges. No applicant for such permit shall be considered by the Chief of Police until the proper fee has been paid and no part of such fee shall be refunded after the application has been filed. An application for a duplicate permit or renewal shall require a fee as set forth in the town's Comprehensive List of Fees and Charges.
