(A) Establishment. There is hereby created a Recreation Committee to be known as the Clayton Recreation Advisory Committee.
(B) Purpose. The Recreation Committee shall serve as the advisory body for the Department of Recreation and the town. The Committee shall suggest policies to the Department, the Town Manager, and the Town Council, within its powers and responsi-bilities as stated in this subchapter. The Committee shall serve as a liaison between the Recreation Department, Town Manager, Town Council, and citizens of the community. The Committee shall consult with and advise the Recreation Department, Town Manager, and Town Council in matters affecting recreation policies, programs, personnel, finances, and the acquisition and disposal of lands and properties related to the total community recreation program, and its long-range, projected program for recreation.
