§ 32.091 DUTIES.
   It shall be the duty of officers and members of the Police Department to use their best endeavor to prevent the commission within the town of offenses against the laws of the state and the provisions of this code and other ordinances and regulations of the town; to preserve and enforce all such laws, provisions of this code, and other town ordinances and regulations; to detect and arrest the offenders against the same; to preserve the good order of the town and to secure the inhabitants thereof from violence and their property therein from injury.
