§ 32.075 MEMBERS; TERMS; VACANCIES.
   (A)   the Planning Board shall consist of nine regular members. Five of the regular members shall be citizens and residents of the town, and four shall be residents of the county who reside in the town's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ). The Town Council shall appoint all members who reside within the town's corporate limits. All members residing outside the corporate limits but within the town's ETJ shall be recommended for approval by the County Board of County Commissioners. In the event the County Board of County Commissioners fails to make the requested appointments within 90 days of receipt of the request, the Town Council shall make the appointments.
   (B)   Members shall be appointed for three-year terms. Vacancies occurring for reasons other than expiration of terms shall be filled for the unexpired term only, by the legislative body responsible for original appointment.
   (C)   All members are expected to attend scheduled meetings for the prompt and efficient transaction of business. The clerk to the Board shall maintain the attendance record, including attendance at regular meetings, work sessions and special called meetings. If at any time a member either fails to attend two-thirds of the scheduled meetings during a calendar year or misses three scheduled meetings in succession, the secretary to the Board shall notify the Chairman of the Board. The Chairman of the Board will send a letter of recommendation on this member's attendance to the Town Council liaison and the Town Clerk. The Town Clerk, Town Council liaison, and the Planning Director shall make a decision on this member's continued service to the Board.
