§ 111.04 MECHANICAL LICENSES REQUIRED.
   (A)   Unless excepted in division (B) below, a mechanical contractor’s license shall be required for any person who performs heating, ventilating, air conditioning, or refrigeration work for which a permit is required under Chapter 150 of the Clarksville Municipal Code.
   (B)   No mechanical contractor’s license shall be required for:
      (1)   An authorized employee of the United States, the State of Indiana, or a political subdivision of the State of Indiana if the employee does not profess to be for hire and is acting within the scope of the employee’s employment;
      (2)   Public utilities with respect to construction, maintenance, and development work performed by their own forces incidental to their business;
      (3)   Construction, alteration improvement, or repair of a heating, ventilating, air conditioning, or refrigeration system located on a site, the title of which is in the name of the United States or the State of Indiana, or to construction, alteration, improvement, or repair on a project where federal or state law supersedes this chapter; or
      (4)   An individual who is employed or acts as a maintenance person at the individual’s place of employment if the complex contains four or more residential units.
   (C)   Licenses shall be nontransferable.
