Any person, firm or corporation who violates any provision of this chapter shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $2,500 for each violation, which amount shall be assessed in the discretion of the enforcement authority. Each day that a violation continues shall be considered a separate violation. The fine shall be due and payable in the Clerk-Treasurer's office within ten days after notice. If the fine is not timely paid, the enforcement authority may seek to collect the fine in a court of competent jurisdiction.
