No owner, occupant, or agent of any structure, newly-erected structure, or structure moved to a new location shall refuse or fail within 30 days of notification by the Town Council of the correct number of the building, to place or cause to be placed an address number on the structure. No person shall take down, without authority, or alter, deface, destroy, or conceal any number on any structure or place, or allow an erroneous number to be placed or remain on any structure owned, occupied, or controlled by him or her.
