(A) The Metropolitan Board of Police and Fire Commissioners is hereby re-established.
(B) The membership of the Board is shall consist of five members.
(C) Each Board member must be a resident of the Town of Clarksville.
(D) The Town Council shall appoint the members.
(E) Not more than three Board members may be members of the same political party, if members who satisfy this requirement may be found to serve on the Board.
(F) Those serving as members of the current Board are hereby reappointed to the same terms, which shall expire on January 1 of the third year after their original appointment to the Board.
(G) Terms of members newly appointed pursuant to this ordinance shall expire January 1 of the third year after his or her appointment.
(H) The Town Council may remove a Board member for any cause that Town Council considers sufficient.
(I) The Board shall have any and all duties and powers prescribed by Indiana Code as currently enacted or as amended over the Town of Clarksville Police Department and the Town of Clarksville Fire Department.
