§ 32.23 POWERS AND JURISDICTION.
   (A)   The Town Judge shall have and exercise the powers and jurisdiction now or hereafter conferred upon justices of the peace and judges of city courts as provided in state law in all cases of crimes and misdemeanors, except as otherwise provided.
   (B)   The Town Judge shall have exclusive jurisdiction of all violation of the ordinances of the town.
   (C)   The Judge shall have original and concurrent jurisdiction with the Circuit Court or Criminal Court in cases of petty larceny and all other violations of the laws of the state wherein the penalty provided therefor cannot exceed the penalty provided in § 10.99.
   (D)   If the Town Judge is of the opinion that the punishment which the Town Judge is authorized to assess is not adequate for the offense, the Judge may hold the prisoner for appearance before the proper court, allow for bail, or commit him to jail in default of the bail.
