(A) Purpose and authority.
(1) The town is providing electronic mapping;
(2) Pursuant to IC 5- 14-3-8(j), the town has passed an ordinance that allows the town to charge a fee, uniform to all purchasers, for providing an electronic map that is based upon the reasonable percentage of the direct cost of maintaining, upgrading and enhancing the electronic map and for the direct cost of supplying the electronic map in the form requested;
(3) Pursuant to IC 5- 14-3-8.5, the town must adopt an ordinance establishing an electronic map generation fund;
(4) The town has determined that the fund shall be a non-reverting fund; and
(5) Pursuant to IC 5- 14-3-8.5 the town desires to establish the Electronic Map Generation Non-Reverting Fund (the Fund) pursuant to the provisions contained herein.
(B) The Electronic Map Generation Non-Reverting Fund shall be and is hereby established.
(C) The Planning Department hereby establishes in its operating budget a fund designated as the Electronic Map Generation Non-Reverting Fund. Any balance remaining at the end of the fiscal year shall be carried over in the Fund for the following year and does not revert to the General Fund.
(D) Money for the Electronic Map Generation Non- Reverting Fund may be received from fees collected under IC 5- 14-3-8(j).
