§ 51.13 RESTRICTION OF WATER USE.
   (A)   Upon notice from the Village Board Chairperson, the use of water for all uses, except domestic uses, shall cease during a fire alarm ordering a fire. Water may resume upon notice by the Chairperson.
   (B)   The governing body or water commissioner may order a reduction in the use of water or shut off the water on any premises in the event of a water shortage due to fire or good and sufficient cause.
   (C)   In the case of a shortage, imminent shortage or possible contamination of the public water supply, the use of water may be restricted according to a restriction plan adopted by resolution by the Village Board.
   (D)   (1)   Any person who shall violate or refuse to comply with the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter, and who shall specifically refuse to comply with any water restriction plan adopted by resolution of the Village Board shall upon conviction thereof be fined not more than $500 for each offense.
      (2)   A new violation shall be deemed to have been committed every 24 hours of such failure to comply.
   (E)   The village shall not be liable for any damages caused by shutting off the supply of water of any consumer while the system or any part thereof is undergoing repairs or when there is a shortage of water due to circumstances to which the village has no control.
