(A) The Sheriff of the county and the County Police Department is hereby authorized to engage in a vehicle inspection process as is required and set out in I.C. 9-17-2-12.
(B) The Sheriff of the county is authorized to charge a vehicle inspection fee, for each inspection performed, of $5 per inspection.
(C) The monies received as a result of the performance of the aforesaid inspections shall be deposited in a special vehicle inspection fund within the office of, and under the control of, the Sheriff of the county.
(D) The monies in said fund shall be only expended for law enforcement purposes pursuant to the above cited statutory provision.
