§ 101.15 BROKEN AND UNSAFE SIDEWALKS.
   No person shall permit the sidewalk in front or side of his premises to be and continue in a broken or unsafe condition so as to endanger life or limb of any person traveling on or across the same. The owner of every lot and parcel of land abutting on any street, avenue, parkway, boulevard or other public street of the city, for which an established grade has been lawfully fixed, is hereby required to maintain adjacent to his property a sidewalk in accordance with the specifications set out by the City Engineer or his authorized representative. The abutting owner may request repairs by the Department of Public Works at the expense of the abutting owner.
