§ 91.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   AMBULANCE. Any motor vehicle equipped with facilities therein to convey infirm or injured persons, which meets State Health Department requirements and is permitted by the State Health Department.
   ATTENDANT. Any person who has the duty of caring for a sick, ill or injured person in an ambulance, and who is registered with the city.
   BOARD. The Emergency Medical Services Board as herein established.
   CERTIFICATE. A certificate of public convenience and necessity issued by the City Council licensing an operator as hereinafter defined.
   CLERK. The City Clerk of the city, or a designated representative.
   COUNCIL. The City Council of the city.
   DRIVER. Every individual who shall drive an ambulance as herein defined and who has a com-mercial chauffeur's license issued by the State Department of Public Safety, and who is registered with the city.
   OPERATOR. Any person, firm or corporation, engaged in business as the owner or proprietor of ambulances.
   PERMIT. The operating permit which an operator is required to obtain annually for each and every motor vehicle operated as an ambulance.
   PERSON. Any individual, firm, association, partnership, corporation, or other group or combination acting as a unit.
   REGISTRATION. The registration of drivers and attendants by the city.
