§ 5-4-27 Tapping sleeve.

(a) Tapping sleeves shall be 304 stainless steel, flanged for the tapping valve and manufactured for a working pressure of 150 psi. Sleeve shall have a full body 360-degree gasket. Sleeve shall have a 3/4-inch test plug. Bolts and nuts shall be stainless steel.

(b) Stainless steel tapping sleeve shall be Mueller model number H-304ss, Romac Models SST-460 to SST 2650, Smith Blair models 662, 663, 664 and 665 and approved equals.
