(a) Whenever any offense is declared by any provision of this code, absent a specific or unique punishment prescribed, the offender shall be punished in accordance with this section:
(1) A fine of not more than $1,000;
(2) Imprisonment in jail for not more than 179 days; or
(3) Both such fine and imprisonment not to exceed divisions (a) and (b) above.
(b) Each person found guilty of a violation of the ordinances of the city shall be assessed costs for the administration of justice in the municipal court of the city and such costs shall be determined by ordinance.
