(a) The rates per month for the use of water in the city shall be as follows:
(1) For consumers within the city limits: first 1,000 gallons per month: $18; excess over 1,000 gallons per month: $6 per 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof. Minimum charges, per month for water under this rate shall be $24; and
(2) For consumers outside the city limits: first 1,000 gallons per month: $36; excess over 1,000 gallons per month: $12 per 1,000 gallons or fraction thereof. Minimum charges, per month for water under this rate shall be $48.
(b) That the above rates shall take effect on May 1, 2021, and on March 1 each year thereafter.
