(a) Effective with all wages paid during and after March 28, 1993, the City shall "pick- up" one-third of the ten percent (10%) of the mandatory employee retirement contributions to the Ohio Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund using the fringe benefit method and shall designate such amounts as employer contributions for income reported by the City.
(b) Effective with all wages paid during and after September 26, 1993, the City shall "pick-up" two-thirds of the ten percent (10%) of the mandatory employee retirement contributions to the Ohio Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund using the fringe benefit method and shall designate such amounts as employer contributions for income reported by the City.
(c) Effective with all wages paid during and after September 25, 1994, the City shall "pick-up" the ten percent (10%) of the mandatory employee retirement contributions to the Ohio Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund using the fringe benefit method and shall designate such amounts as employer contributions for income reported by the City.
(d) The employees net pay shall be increased while the gross pay would remain the same using the fringe benefit method.
(e) The contributions, although designated as employee contributions, shall be paid by the City in lieu of contributions by the employee. The participation of the members of IAFF #1232 and the Fire Chief is mandatory and the employees shall not have the option of choosing to receive the contributed amounts directly instead of having them paid by the City to the Police and Firemen's Disability and Pension Fund.
