(a) The City wishes to provide all employees currently employed by the City with an opportunity to obtain their General Equivalency Degree or high school diploma.
(b) The City shall reimburse any current employees who desire to obtain their General Equivalency Degree or high school diploma for out of pocket costs up to one hundred dollars ($100.00) per employee. Employees participating in this program are permitted to utilize up to three hours of leave per week with pay to pursue their General Equivalency Degree or high school diploma.
(c) Employees participating in this program shall complete their degree requirements within three years of the passage of this section.
