155.16 EMPLOYEES IN MILITARY SERVICE IN MIDDLE EAST.
   (a)   The following salary and benefits are hereby established for any City full-time employees who are called into the active military service due to the middle east conflict commonly known as the "Desert Storm" action:
      (1)   The City shall pay an amount equal to the employees regular City wages, less any and all amounts paid to the City employee by the armed forces of the United States during such period of active duty.
      (2)   The City shall continue to pay into the appropriate retirement or pension system of the employee called into the active military service based on the amount of actual City wages paid to the employee during such period of active duty.
      (3)   The City shall continue to pay the premium of the City medical insurance policy during such period of active duty.
      (4)   The City shall continue to pay the premium of the City life insurance policy during such period of active duty.
      (5)   Payment of wages by the City shall be handled through the City Auditor's Office and payment shall be made after proof of verifiable receipts of United States government pay stubs that are accessible to the City Auditor.
