Any employee, who has not in the previous calendar year used more than twenty-four sick hours for any reason, shall be entitled to elect to exchange eight hours accumulated sick leave hours for use as personal leave during the current year. The personal leave time shall be taken in a minimum of one-hour increments, and scheduling shall be approved by the City. The employee must make the election for exchange of sick leave time for personal leave time by January 30 of each year.
