155.05 VACATIONS.
   EDITOR'S NOTE: The provisions in subsections (a) to (c) may be altered by applicable collective bargaining agreements. Please refer to the aforementioned agreements in regards to vacations when necessary.
   (a)   All full-time employees of the City, whether classified or unclassified and whether employed on an annual salary basis or on an hourly basis, shall be entitled to paid vacations on the basis of continuous years of service as set forth herein:
      (1)   Two weeks paid vacation after one full year of continuous employment;
      (2)   Three weeks paid vacation after five full years of continuous employment; and
      (3)   Four weeks paid vacation after ten full years of continuous employment.

      (4)   176 hours paid vacation after fifteen full years of continous employment.
      (5)   200 hours paid vacation after twenty full years of continuous employment.

   (b)   The paid vacations set forth herein shall be exercised by all employees on a calendar week basis, and the taking of paid vacation on a day-to-day basis shall not be permitted, except in the case of extreme emergency to be determined by the department supervisor or superintendent.
   (c)   This section shall not be construed to include those employees employed for a fixed term or on a contract basis.
