(a) Pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, the following officers shall execute, prior to entering upon the performance of their official duties, individual bonds in not less than the penal amount set forth opposite the title of their respective offices:
City Treasurer - $100,000.00
City Auditor - $100,000.00
Deputy Auditor - $100,000.00
Mayor - $100,000.00
(b) All officers and employees of the City, except those specified in subsection (a) hereof may be covered by a blanket bond in the minimum penal amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) or more depending on the crime type, indemnifying the City against loss occasioned by a dishonest act.
(c) Each bond authorized by this section shall, upon its approval, be delivered to the City Auditor, who shall immediately record it in a record provided for that purpose and file and preserve it in her office. The bond of the City Auditor shall, upon approval, be delivered to the City Treasurer, who shall immediately record it in a record provided for that purpose and file and preserve it in his office.
