353.99 PENALTY AND WAIVER.
   (a)   Whoever violates Section 353.06 or 353.07 is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 303.99.
 
   (b)   Whoever violates any other provision of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 303.99.
   (c)   Any person charged with a violation of any provision of this chapter, for which payment of a prescribed fine may be made, may pay such sum in the manner prescribed on the issued traffic ticket. Such payment shall be deemed a plea of guilty, waiver of court appearance, and acknowledgment of conviction of the alleged offense and may be accepted in full satisfaction of the prescribed penalty for such alleged violation. Payment of the prescribed fine need not be accepted when laws prescribe that a certain number of such offenses shall require court appearance.

   (d)   Any person who has received a citation tag notifying him of a violation of Section 353.05(a), (c), (d) or (f) and who, upon presenting such citation tag, deposits the amount hereinafter indicated, shall be fined for the violation of such section as follows:
      (1)   Ten dollars ($10.00) for each overtime period provided that this sum is paid within seven days of the time that the parking citation tag is issued; and
      (2)   Twenty dollars ($20.00) for each overtime period not paid within seven days of the time that the parking citation is issued, and there has been no prosecution therefore.
      (3)   Any motor vehicle occupying any unmetered parking space for twelve or more consecutive hours shall be subject to the impoundment provisions as set forth in Section 303.08 of this traffic code.
