(a) The Building and Zoning Administrator, Fire Chief, and any other City official duly authorized by the Mayor, are hereby authorized to conduct inspections of any and all residential dwellings or units thereof within the City to determine compliance with the Codified Ordinances of the City, including this chapter. Any City official conducting such inspections shall use the Housing Inspection Report and Housing Inspection Explanations forms attached to this chapter (see Ordinance No. 1,002) as “Exhibit A” to provide owners and residents of inspected dwellings notice and information regarding the City’s requirements for each such dwelling.
(b) Property owners are responsible for paying the City an inspection fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per inspection, which is payable at or before the time of inspection, in order to offset the City’s expense of administering this program.
