1448.04 CONDEMNATION OF BUILDINGS BY FIRE CHIEF.
   Whenever the Fire Chief finds any building or structure or any part thereof, within the fire limits, in an unsafe condition, he shall forthwith notify, in writing, the owner or person in control thereof to take all necessary action to place such building or structure in a safe condition, within the time designated in such notice. If the owner or per-son in control of such building or structure cannot be found by the Chief, such Chief shall serve such notice upon such owner or person in control by registered or certified mail, as required by law, and shall place a notice upon the building or structure, in a conspicuous place, in large letters, as follows:
      THIS BUILDING IS IN A DANGEROUS CONDITION AND HAS BEEN CONDEMNED
      BY THE FIRE CHIEF OF THE CITY OF CHRISTOPHER, ILLINOIS.
   No person shall remove such notice without the written permission of the Chief.
